This Privacy Policy explains what information TezVid ("we", "us") collects when you use our website and Service, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using TezVid you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Password (hashed)	To authenticate you. Passwords are stored only as a salted bcrypt hash — never in plain text.
Google account profile (if you sign in with Google)	To create your account via Google OAuth (name, email, profile picture).
Download history (URLs you submit, timestamps, status)	To show your history and enforce plan limits.
Plan & usage counts	To manage free/Pro limits and your subscription.
Approximate region	To show appropriate pricing and currency.
Technical data (IP address, browser/device info, request logs)	Security, abuse prevention, rate limiting, and diagnostics.

Payment information: When you subscribe, payment is processed by Razorpay. Your card or banking details are entered on Razorpay's secure systems — we never receive or store your full card number. We only store a subscription/transaction reference needed to manage your plan.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• To authenticate you and protect your account.
• To process subscriptions and prevent fraud and abuse.
• To send essential account and transactional emails (e.g., verification, password reset, payment notices).
• To understand product usage in aggregate and improve performance.

3. Service Providers We Share Data With

We share the minimum data necessary with trusted providers that help us run the Service:

• Razorpay — payment processing and subscription billing.
• MongoDB Atlas — secure cloud database hosting.
• Render — application hosting.
• Google — optional sign-in (OAuth).
• Email/SMTP provider — sending verification and account emails.
• Analytics & error monitoring (e.g., PostHog, Sentry) — aggregate usage analytics and crash diagnostics.
• Content-resolution providers (e.g., Apify, RapidAPI) — to resolve the public media URLs you request.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences (such as your theme), and a session cookie for Google sign-in. Analytics tools may set cookies to measure usage. You can clear these from your browser at any time.

5. Data Retention

We keep your account data while your account is active. You can clear your download history at any time from your account, and you may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by emailing us. We may retain limited records where required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

• Withdraw consent or close your account.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS in transit, hashed passwords, scoped access tokens, and rate limiting. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and respond quickly to any incident.

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy and will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
